Genghis Khan Mongolian Grill in LaSalle

It was ok maybe my fault I was doing Sunday sightseeing and looked for a quick bite.Diagonal parking was pretty full so it wasn't a ghost town block closing early.Walking inside and not one person dining but buffet was looking tired as if it was made 2 hours before and drying up to a glaze.Im sure when this place is full and food rotates out being replenished fresh its the best.Again maybe Sunday 6ish isnt a good time to dine.The fresh made to order is perfect but remember you may not be the best cook when it comes to condiments for flavor.

Just ordered some fantastic Chinese food for takeout. I can't wait until this restaurant opens so i can experience itwith all the fine dining. Food was excellent

Stay for the all-you-can-eat stir fry. For $9.99, it is worth the price. Just don't touch the buffet items; it's really not worth the stomach space. Nothing beats piping hot stir fry.

Love it! Go there all the time. Have fun playing with different sauces every time we go. One of the only places you can get seafood for the same price as other types of meat. I get shrimp, mussels, fish & calamari every time I go. Cheap, too. Only $14 for two people to eat & salad bar & Rangoon are always a good start to the meal. Excellent.

Good for groups and very friendly staff. They could use an extra person helping the only waitress. She did a great job but it's hard to cash people out and wait on everyone at the same time.

Was there on July 21st 2019. Food was just ok. Not much of a variety and low on fried rice. Seemed like 1 person doing all the work.

Never order this food for delivery this is the third time I have placed a order or delivery and they tell you 45mins and it have taken over a hour and a half everytime

Great food. All fresh vegetables and meat on bar. U choose all and add your choice of sauce and they stir fry it fresh for you. Or order off the full menu. Also has buffet of prepared chinese dishes.

Wasn't good when I went.

This is not your typical buffet. There is an aisle where you can pick up all your ingredients in a bowl. I like how you can create your own dish by mixing the ingredients so your cook can stir them professionally. Also adding your own spices is great so that adds more flavor to your own creation. I would suggest adding a bit more vatiety on the dessert section. Other than that it was good.

Really enjoyed the restaurant. Like the ability to choose my own food and spices.... loved the selection of the spices...and watch it be cooked. Lots of vegetables to choose from. almost as many meat choices.. extremely unusual.

One of my favorites. Food is fresh and piping hot, so many different combinations to choose from. Friendly staff and decent prices.

Good food and quick service.

My experience there was poor. Went a 1pm on a Sunday, which it's $9.99 all day. Ok they only had 4 dishes out and they were cold. When me and my husband ask for fresh food, they said they don't put out much because it be slow. Then we ask can we get a specific dish fresh the only got an attitude about it and start snapping off in their language. So we just said forget, paid and left. We didn't want him fixing our food after he was upset, no telling what he would have done to it. As far as take out, never had a problem. Dining-in I would never go there again. Paid $21 for one plate each, supposed to be a buffet.

We were unfortunately disappointed. The buffet did not have many things to select from, and most were empty or had been sitting there awhile. The noodles for the grill were over cooked. There was one waitress. The place wasn’t very busy and she never came and asked if we needed beverage refills, and we never had the opportunity to ask for one.

Really good food. Pick your own items (a lot to choose from for vegetarians and meat eaters) and they make it there for you. Dozens of spices and oils to choose from to for flavoring your dish. You can purchase all you can eat if you want.

The Mongolian Barbeque part is not that bad quite a few choices but the food in the buffet been sitting there for a couple hours

I like the buffet here you pick the raw meat, vegetables, and seasoning you want. There lunch prices are reasonable. However their dinner ones not so much.

I absolutely loved this place. This restaurant is a downtown eatery a few miles off I-39 + I-80 in La Salle. The place is a little dated but so what. There is a small selection of prepared dishes but It is primarily a Mongolian grill where you select your own ingrediants, sauces and spices then the guy at the large grill cooks them. There are many veggies, meats, sauces and spices to choose from and all ingrediants were fresh. The cook did a great job cooking my meal and it was delicious. I will definately stop back next time thru.

I stopped here for a small snack while on a bike ride so I only got to try the fried wontons, which were fantastic. The employees were very friendly.

Don't like the sprouts in the chicken fried rice! And Generals Chicken wasn't that great either! And the sweet and sour sauce packets were gross!

I love this place. I never write these things but this place needs more attention. First time here and can't find fault in the food or the price. This place deserves your money.

Super nice and warm welcoming us when we walk throught the door. Had dinner with my coworkers, foods were good. Nice relax atmosphere and feel like I can go here for every weekend. Such a nice restaurant and nice staffs. Especially the owner.

Will never get any more of my money. Gave me a big hassle about extra soy sauce only two packs of soy sauce for a large shrimp fried rice on top of that food sucks

Love this place. Great food! General Tso’s chicken is my favorite! Their egg drop soup is eggcelent!

Great place for grill. Beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, calamari , pork belly, white fish and more. Decent selection of fresh veggies. Large amount of sauces and full array of spices to make your dish taste like any area of the world.One drawback: no oils for salad bar.

I love this place, everytime I go visit my in-laws this is a for sure place I go to to have a enjoyable meal. The food is always fresh the people are always nice. The prices are not that bad.

It was pretty cool watching someone cook your good right in front of you but I was a little lost at first on what to pick and how to put it all together to get what I wanted. A little help or guidance would have been nice, but overall it was decent food at a fair price. I may come back and try this again.

Very good fresh ingredients for the Mongolian section. I did not try the precooked buffet food.Plenty of items for the Mongolian grill and many sauces for flavor.My wife ordered off of the menu and she did not like the spring rolls but her sweet and sour chicken was great. Price is fair for what they offer. As others have stated, the exterior is not very inviting but once inside it is very nice. Will return if in the area in the future.

Staff was friendly and the food was tasty. I ate mostly vegetables, so I’m not sure how the meat dishes are.

(I took pictures).There is also a buffet of pre-made foods and soup and rice.A buffet selection of fresh greens for salads plus fruits. Even liche!And for dessert...... Your choice of six different 5 gallon containers of dippable ice-cream. YUM! YUM!We will definitely be back.Great food.Enjoy!

Usually love this place but after having not a great experience with some meat that smelled bad, I won't go back. 2 stars because it used to be awesome.

I've never had Mongolian food before, and I'm glad I had it here first. The service was amazing, we called ahead first to make sure they take American Express (they do), and the waitress recognized my voice. The food was great, when I told the cook I had never eaten there before he lead me on a tour and let me taste all of the sauces before I chose which one I wanted. The vegetables tasted fresh, the meat was great. I was very happy with my experience. I would definitely make another trip there.

Not impressed. Order for pick up and order was really wrong. Overpriced for the quality of food. Won’t be returning.

My fiance and I had to leave for an emergency at home, we were only able to order drinks and plan to visit the buffet... upon telling the hostess this, she made a big scene and was extremely rude because she had already charged us an order and was angry that she would have to avoid it and just charge us for drinks. It was very uncomfortable for everyone in the vicinity.

I really like their new setup. My dad is a healthy eater, so this was a perfect option for him to eat just plain vegetables and a choice of scallops, whitefish, pork, chicken, crabmeat, beef, calamari, shrimp, or sausage, as his protein. They have a really nice salad bar, with plenty of cold salads and fruit. They also now have a selection of premade Chinese dishes, like general tso's, sesame chicken, broccoli and beef, crab Rangoon, chicken on a stick, etc. Or...you can do like I did and made my own sauce and had them cook my vegetables and meats on the flat top grill. Two dinner buffets, with a soda a and an iced tea was $25. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
